A bowl of grated cheese with ketchup all mixed together - nothing else. Divine.

Anyone got anything equally or more strange?

Mental is great when you are pregnant though! Mashed potato is a good one: with grated cheese and ketchup on top. Yum.

I have a passion for fried sprouts with brown sauce in a sandwich with really soft bread.

With both my pregnancies I used to chew sellotape!

It had to be proper Sellotape though not any old brand.

Surely thats gets the prize!!!

She'd say she was having a hypo and needed the sugar just so she could be weird...

Undercooked beef didn't even realise I was doing it as I was slowly cooking it less and less until I cooked some dinner for my mum and she took my food away and spat hers out saying something about it still being frozen. Needless to say I was banned from the kitchen and forced to eat what I at the time thought was crimated beef. If I had of thought I could have done that this pg and had 9 months cooking free

pineapple and anchovies on toast occasionally with a bit of chutney to add tang

Cream crackers with pickled onions, getting them to balance is half the fun.

Sellotape beats all the others I think on account of being very, very strange indeed!

Pineapple and anchovies sounds worryingly good at the moment.

I used to get a plate, add a layer of hot salsa, a whole 10 pack of nasty processed cheese slices, a layer of mustard, loads of chopped gherkins and raw spring onions and topped with garlic croutons. Then eat with a knife and fork.

Currently living in the US till July and when my mum recently came for a visit I made her put 2 jars of sandwich spread and a bottle of salad cream in her suitcase!

Hello everybody, I thought I would gatecrash your thread. I hope you don't mind. Now, I'm not often one to hold my head up high and say that I'm proud of myself BUT my cravings during both pregnancies (DD is 13 and DS is 5)are pretty amazing, I think. With DD I obsessed over creosote and found myself in the middle of the night ambling up the street to pick off bits of newly coated wooden fences for a good (chemically dangerous) sniff. Wonderful. As for my second pregnancy, well, that was .... coffee grounds. I even had to sleep next to the Bodum with used grounds inside. OK, I can hear you say, these are not strickly snacks, but if I could have eaten them, I would have!

ps I am virtually normal when not pregnant.

The thought of anchovies has brought out an unexpected relapse of morning sickness, I also on ds1 would drink cooking oil not any stuff had to be sunflower. Surprisingly I gained loads of weight my poor dp face the first time he caught was a picture. Boring this time I only craved strawberry's raspberry's and cream. Also salt and vinegar crisps which I hate
