Hello ladies i'm booking a private scan with babybond to get a more in depth and sort of personal look at my baby if you like because have been little disapointed with previous scans i has with dd1 ( this is dc2 )
Been told we get a dvd and loads of pics etc and i'm really looking forward to it ,
was just wondering if anyone else had used Babybond and what your experiences were ????

I had mine ages ago (in fact it was on VHS). I went to 2 of their offices and found them to be very professional. At my first 20 week scan I had been told that I was expecting a dd, but the Babybond sonographer correctly identified ds1. As ever it does depend on whether your dc co-operates on the day, but they did try various tricks to ensure that they were moving.

We had a gender scan with them and they were great. We were first in, which may or may not have made a difference but it was all very relaxed, tea and coffee and then we had a good long scan, they gave us a chance to really look at what was what and ask questions. It was very good and I would definitely book them again.

tink DH and I went for a 4d scan at babybond back in March when I was 25 weeks pregnant and it was fantastic and if you can afford it i would certainly recommend it. I love looking at the photos of my lovely girl, the staff were very nice and very thorough with the scan I hope you enjoy your scan x

I think we're going to have one.

The day after the 20 week scan, poor DH asked 'So when is the next one?' He was so disappointed when I told him that was it!

Also, even though we saw the tiny willy with our own eyes and sonographer said it's a boy, I still want to check again.

Should probably book it soon, right? Am nearly 25 weeks.

we had one with DD2 so that DD1 would get a chance to see her sister. DD2 didn't want to play that day, so after an age of trying to get a good look at her face they made us another appointment for the following week.
It was wonderful and we could see how much the girls looked like eachother. If you can afford it do it.
I seem to remember booking my appointment when I was around 25 weeks and then went for it at around 30 weeks.

Whilst the sonographers that i saw were all qualified (and worked in NHS) the baby bond scan isn't meant to be an anomaly scan and I'm not surprised that that they would usually happen later on in pregnancy. I also think that the facial features are far clearer later on too. Must go and dig out ds2's (he turned 6 at the weekend!).
