.... what positions did you use?

Still just about managing missionary at 6 months, but don't think we will much longer! Not finding other positions as effective. Do any other posters have any tips?

Ummm well I am 39 weeks Saturday and still going strong

I find being on top best, and facing away even better as I don't feel as self concious!

I think it is all about experimenting and having a laugh to find what is best for you

Good luck! hehe

Hmph, haven't done it since 20 week scan revealed placenta totally covering the os and sonographer, midwife and GP all very keen on telling me what a total disaster it could be to get properly jiggy with it.

Like in an X position... hard to explain without a picture!

DP lies on side, me on back with legs over his legs (or intertwined) so heels resting on his bum.

Also 6 months, missionary not good for my poor pelvis, and it nearly made me pass out the other day! The 'X-position' or w/e its real, mucky, name is, is excellent, or it was last night anyway .

Spoons. we managed it right up to the night before I gave birth.
I managed on top until around 6 months when, due to all the extra weight I was carrying, my hips gave out

kept at it till the day before ds was born. i couldn't wait to get that baby out of there! i like to think it contributed to the quick labour

doggy-style was our favourite.

ow, mollyroger, that sounds sore! suspect my hips will prob give out soon enough...

might try the ol' doggy style again- did you need any support for your bump, trumpets? can just imagine it jiggling about if we got a bit too energetic!

stick a couple of pillows under your bump while you're jiggling...

It is kind of like spoons, but with you on your back. The intertwining legs lets you get closer if, like me, you have a big arse, though spoons works at a certain angle anyway!

If anything me and dh have been at it more. For some reason being pregnant makes me more horny. Last few weeks though it has been more from behind like spoons, on top and doggy style rather than the missionary position as not to squash baby. Must admit this last 2 weeks seem more like a military operation and I probably wouldnt be bothering if it wasnt for the fact I want this baby out

Right till when DS was born....poor bloke got jumped on every five mins..wasn't huge either so, erm every which way.

Not hard holding any certain position for five mins tho is it

Besides, i'd have done it more if i'd have known how little i'd get afterwards, not due to DS, or postnatal stuff.. more due to DSC's being in bed with us every fucking saturday and sunday morning since DS was born

Me and hubby are still at it :-)
il be 38 weeks 2morra, we like trying different positions best ones wev found while iv been preggers is, me on top, doggy-style, me sitting on edge ov bed slightly laid back with cushion support (plenty ov cushions) and hubby kneeling, and the one mentioned by hawkmoth sort of X position is a gud one 2.

We've been using the X position as recommended by Hawkmoth. That or spoons or doggie.

I don't recommend having your legs too wide apart. I pulled a groin muscle going on top. Y'ouch.

yeah coco i just piled the pillows under my bump and hips and sort of just leaned on my elbows. mr. trumpets absolutely loved it, lol.

sadly, i can't do it that way whilst not pregnant (the wrong angles and such) so he's mightly bummed about it!
