Hi, I'm 24 and this is my first pregancy, I'm 6 weeks. I started lightly bleeding last Sunday panicked and went to A&E they checked my blood and my hormone levels were at 3456. They checked me out and said I wasnt bleeding from my cervix and it was closed. I had a scan the next day and they saw the sac but have to go back on the 11th because it was too early to see the fetal bone. Since then Ive still been bleeding and on Friday I had a little pain and a few hours later the blood got a little heavier and went to toilet and passed blood and a very hard bean shaped thing. It was tough and hard like raw meat. I looked at it and it was very dark on the inside and lighter coulor on the outside. I'm still passing blood lightly. Was that the fetus? My hearts breaking and sorry if I sound really stupid x

I've no idea if that's the case. But I can see why you think that it may have been a miscarriage.

I'm 24 too. ttc number 1. So far nothing has happened.

I don't have enough experience to say what's happening to you, but please try hard to be patient while waiting to here from the doctors/nurses.

You really really do not sound stupid, I really understand while you're upset and pray all the best for you.

:-(

I have had 2 m/c (but have gone on to have a baby since)...and I definatly passed something. I didn't look too closely. I did bled very heavily after that...having spoken to epople on here...they won't do anything except scan you on the 11th...so I would wait to then.

I'm really sorry to say this, but what you described sounds very similar to what happened to me when I miscarried at 7 weeks.

I went to the Early Pregnancy Unit because I was having cramping pain and a bit of brown blood, but by the time I got there it had turned red. They gave me a pan to put over the toilet, so I did feel something pass and was able to get a good look at it, and it was like you described.

Obviously I can't know for sure what's happened to you, but to me it sounds like you've miscarried. You may pass other large clots--I had something that looked like raw meat the following day.

Don't worry, you do NOT sound stupid at all. Can you contact the place you had the scan? Was it an Early Pregnancy Unit? They may want to examine you to make sure everything has passed. It doesn't sound like you are bleeding heavily now, but if it gets heavier, you really should get some medical advice.

The hard bean shaped thing sounds familiar. I had a missed miscarriage in 2006, found out at the 12 week scan. I had medical management, but I only passed clots in hospital, however they let me go home. The next day on the loo, I had the urge to push, and passed something a lot like you described. I believe it was the gestational sac. Sort of like a transparent bubble, surrounded by hard 'meaty' tissue. Absolutely awful experience.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. And do get checked out as soon as possible. x

Thanks for all your messages. I thought it was just wanted it comfirmed really. It wasnt the Early Pregancy Unit they just booked it for me because I'd had bleeding. I've come to stay with my Mum and Dad in Wales until Tuesday and I'm from Manchester so will have to wait until at least then. I have an appointment with the midwife on Thurs so not sure if to go. Thank you all for being so nice xx
