Is the sex of a baby as random in IVF as it is in nature ?

I just wondered because of the 51% girls v's boys in nature if the odds changed with assisted.

There is a slight preference for boys.

someone I know who had IVF told me there was a higher chance of a boy.
I don't know why though...

More boys than girls are born 108 to 100.

However, more boys die at a younger age so it balances itself out.

Hmmm. Isn;t there a differnece in how long male and female sperm last? So presumaly if there is a gap or less of a gapp between ejaculation and conception this would effect the gender likelihood?

Lol there will be 4 months between ejaculation and conception so not sure where that leaves us ;-)

Of the five IVF babies I know of (including my own) four are girls. Of course, it may be that we know more boys born from IVF but it's never been mentioned!
