Hi all. I had a 3rd degree tear withh DD1 3 yrs ago. I am now nearly 29 wks PG and for the last couple of wks I'm feeling quite tender down there. When I squat down I feel like I'm going to rip open and it hurts. MW and consultant said it will be the pressure of the growing baby now. I have decided to have an elec c/s this time and I'm really glad now as the thought of doing a poo is bad enough att he moment let alone doing a baby Sorry if TMI

Anyone else had this? I should mention I healed really well so this is first time it has actually bothered me and it takes me right back to when I was recovering fro it.

Yup, I had an episiotomy which killed for ages after DS. I could still get occasional pain when I went back to work after seven months. I am now 25 weeks and scar is sometimes tender but seems to come and go- oh joy!

I had/have this too - episotomy with ds1 that didn't heal well (stitches didn't 'take') pain from about 19 wks with ds2 but natural delivery no tears or episiotomy, now pg with dc3 and same soreness, it got worse for me later in pg as ds2 got heavier, apparently scar tissue is less elastic than undamaged tissue so is more of a sensitive area
