Is this normal? 25 weeks...

I'll be 25 weeks on Friday and this past week I've been having some cramping around my tummy area. It's not in intervals, so I don't think it's BH - I'm pretty sure it's normal stretching, but I mentioned it to my mother and she freaked out and started asking all sorts of questions. I can't think of any other way to describe it than cramping, maybe that's what made her nervous...?

Anyone else?

More like tightening?

I'm not sure I'd say tightening, although there has been tightening too. Yesterday it was accompanied by a bit of nausea - so much so that I couldn't eat my lunch - and the need to go to the bathroom multiple times in a row (sorry! ) Although I'm feeling very constipated at the moment so that was kind of useless (sorry again!). Maybe it was just a digestive issue? There was no real "depth" to the cramping if that makes any sense - it was just uncomfortable at the surface... Sorry this is no help! Isn't pregnancy fun!?!?

Hi LBOT

Am 25 weeks and getting exactly the same - feels like you are stuffed full of baby! I am pretty sure it's just growing pains with me, also accompanied by frequent toilet visits and generally feeling bleh. I guess we are just getting our bodies used to having a bit extra in there!

Are you suffering at night too with not being able to get comfy?

Thanks Becca!
That makes me feel better!
I'm not too bad at night, but yes, getting uncomfortable.

I'm sure it's just about things changing as we get bigger/approach the third trimester.

eeeek! don't mention the 3rd trimester!!! I have gone into denial mode that this 'enormous' bump means a baby has to come out again!!

I had a whole day of this about a week ago so was 22 weeks and it did really feel like contractions.

However i finally realised it was more likely down to constipation - oh the glamour!

LOL Tracey - yes, it is very glamourous! I've felt better since, so I agree, mine was probably down to constipation as well.

Becca! Ready or not, the third tri is coming! I alternate between thinking yeesh, this is flying by! and 'but I've still got 15 weeks to go' Remind me, is this your first?

Hey LBOT remember me, I'm your EDD buddy! I'm 25 weeks thisi Friday too, isn't it flying in? I've recently had funny deep pelvic type pains but figure it was babba kicking a nerve or something as they have gone now. I also have constipation and piles- nice. And I'm off work today with teh most awful cold. I had a headache earlier but it's gone now at least.

I don't think you need to worry about anything, it sounds like your body just stretching to accomodate your growing baby. Are you having any more scans? I've got one at 28 weeks, can't wait cos the last one was at 20 weeks!

Sorry that should have read the last scan was at 12 weeks!
