Is there any relation between low lying baby at 30 weeks and premature delivery?

As the title says, if anyone has any experience of this. Basically, I had my 30 week midwife apt today and fundal measurement was somewhere between 25-27cm. Fortunately, they fitted me in for a scan and the baby's growth looks normal. The sonographer suggested that the fundal measurement was small because the baby's head is very low.
Although I was relieved, I've now started worrying about premature delivery. Does anyone know if this is something I should be worried about, or is it 'just one of those things'.

I don't know if there is officially any link but my first baby 'dropped' at 32 weeks and was born at 40+3. (My second didn't drop at all until I was induced at 40+14!)
