Hi there, i haven't been on here for a while as i have been very depressed after the early arrival of my son Henry in june of last year in which he sadly died as a result of me catching a viral infection which resulted in prem labour at 22 weeks!! I am a 36 yearold women with 2 living children and 2 pre-c-sections also. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and very happy but extremely worried should the same thing happen again !! i would love to hear from other mummys who have experienced similar to me. Thank you kindly.

Hello mummylight! I too lost my DS at 22 weeks (well 21+6) in August 2007 and went on to have a healthy DS in August 2008 - at full term. My loss was due to a blood clotting condition I had which they didn't know I had until my loss.

Are you going to get any extra check ups or anything or is it too early to know?

My pregnancy was very stressful I won't lie but as soon as you get near the finishing line so to speak it gets easier. I did have counselling after my loss and for a bit after I became pregnant which helped me. Congratulations!

Hello Blue bump, Thank you for your kind reply. Firstly i am so sorry for the sad loss of your baby.

I am on the list for councelling but there is a 10 week wait. Apparently they are going to check on me more as i get into the 16th + week. I am pleased all worked out for you with your next baby and i suppose all i can do is pray the same happens for me. I was so poorly after the delivery of Henry i needed 4 blood transfusions and nearly died! very scary and for my hubby. I think the hardest part is not really knowing whatkind of viral infection put into prem labour in the first place. big hugs to you xxxx

Sorry for your loss of Henry too. When I became pregnant again they just treated me with aspirin which I was convinced would not be enough to keep the baby safe but it was, it's just very hard to relax! My hospital didn't do any real extra checks until the baby could have survived outside of me so it's a long wait for some reasurrance. You sound like you had a very traumatic time, it must have been very scary for you and your husband. Best of luck for this time round and do keep posting!
