Avomine tablets for Sickness...

I've got really bad sickness with this pregnancy and after a month of near continuous puking the doctor prescribed me Avomine tablets, to take one before bed. He said that you can take more if necessary during the day but to try just taking the one. One is making me feel much better but about 3pm I start to go down hill again and feel pretty bad. I'm nervous about taking another tablet a a day though. Have any of you been prescribed avomine and how many did you need to take a day?

you have my sympathy, extreme sickness is horrendous! I was on these for hyperemesis and could not even keep them down - be assured they are safe to take, and if they are working for you go for it! (I ended up in hospital on a drip for a week as nothing worked and i was losing weight and very dehydrated!)

am sure you know all the suggestions re: snacking etc - I found lemon flavour chewing gum helped too

I took them too for HG. They only helped in so far as they helped me sleep but that was a good solution to sickness and nausea.

I really wouldn't worry if you want to take another. believe me doctors are way over cautious about medication in pregnancy and if your dr says it is ok, it really is ok. I can't remember how many I took but that was amore because I couldn't keep pills down than because I was worried about taking them.
