If baby's legs are crossed in the 20 week scan, does this mean GIRL???

Somebody told me their sonographer swore this was true. When I asked at my 12 week scan, that sonographer said the crossed leg thing wasn't true, but today when my 20 week scan showed baby with legs crossed my sonographer said: "well it's not 100%..."
Then I shut him up because I didn't want to know. But now I'm going crazy thinking about it!!

Can anybody who knows their baby's gender reveal their leg crossing status here please?

I don't mind boy or girl btw, just very excitable today!

I'm sorry, but I'm fairly sure that legs crossed means that they can't see anything so have no way of knowing whether it is a girl or a boy.

my sister's DS had his legs crossed at every scan

i have never heard this before, quite, quite bizarre... i really would not put any emphasis on it

I dont think any of my 4 dd's had their legs crossed I wouldn't think it has any bearing on sex tbh.

do you think little girls are more demure??? my two dsons had their legs wide open and it was very obvious but this bump had legs crossed at 20wks so we have no clue............

I am imagining a baby with her legs crossed like Princess Diana used to do it, crossed then bent to the side, peeking coyly out from under her fringe.

Ir just means their legs were crossed and thats all. That sonographer sounds bats!

I had one with legs crossed and shewas a girl - but her legs were crossed because she's a contrary little madam and for no other reason!

DS1 was the only one out of my three who crossed his legs, and was therefore a 'surprise' at birth. DS2 and DD were viewable

I think I am now convinced that the whole thing is quite clearly utter rubbish...

So I guess I'll just find out in June!

my dd had her legs open at 20 week scan and this baby had hers wide open so don't think it means anything tbh...

My DD had her ankles crossed (something which she still does now at 14 months) and we were given a 89% chance she was a girl. She also had a little wee and the sonographer said she thought she was definitely a girl after the way it came out. My DS had his legs wide open so there was no confusion. I cant believe you can wait another 20 weeks to find out, Im much too impatient! Have you any preference boy or girl?

DD had her legs crossed. I didn't ask about the sex of my 2 DSs but have a feeling one did have crossed legs at the 20 week scan.

If their legs are crossed it just means they're crossing their legs! What a bizarre theory! Do boys never cross their legs then?!!

Both dds had their legs crossed/clamped together for dear life where ds was lying showing his tackle for all to see

Never heard that either. Didn't find out sex of DD1 but had 20 week scan on Friday to find out what our twins are - 1 of each. Little chap happily showed his bits and then promptly covered them with his hands before crossing his legs and keeping them crossed!
