Hi all you yummy mummy's,

there have probably been absolutely loads and loads of threads in the past about being worried! I am nearly 8 weeks (i think) and am really worried about this PG! I haven't really been feeling myself (I know this happens when you are PG! but this feeling isn't the same as in previous PG) and have been gettin a few pains on my left hand side and a tummy ache for the past few days, am so worried about MC, I don't know why really as have had 2 healthy PG previously. I called my MW yesterday to get things moving and she told me she would be in contact in a couple of weeks as she has lots of other ladies atm but I am feeling so anxious! do you think i would get told off by my local hosp if i went there just to make sure things are ok? I know that everybody prob feels this way in the early stages but because I have never felt this way before I am feeling a little worried. Am i just over reacting unnecessarily or should I go with my instincts??

It is such a worrying time isn't it and so easy to think that all is not well. I was totally paranoid that something would go wrong with this pregnancy (currently almost 15 weeks with my third dc). In the end I had an early scan at 8 weeks (although I had to pay £80 for the privilige!) The best £80 ever spent as it gave me the peace of mind to chill out until 12 week scan.

Why don't you talk to your Dr, especially if you have a bit of pain. they may send you for a scan just to be sure.

Good luck, I hope it all works out for you.

Im 27 weeks pg now but in the first 6-9 weeks i had constant pain in my side like af was about to arrive but mw said it was prob the baby implanting/burrowing into the womb and not to worry unless acompanied by bleeding or it got really severe.

Thanks guys, you have kinda put my mind at ease, i think if i still feel this way next week i will go and see my GP unless anything else happens in the mean time. Im sure it won't im just being uber paranoid as am so excited i think partly it is because I found out so early aswell!

i had the same kind of pain at 8 weeks hun i called my hospital and they wanted me to come in straight away incase it was anyhting to worry about. if youre worried go the hospital, worry and stress this early are bad for your baby and it will at least put your mind at ease. odd are there just settling in pains and will be nothing to worry about. i had a scan done when i went and they kept me in overnight for survelance just to check my blood levels etc. its also great that i got a little 8 week scan its liek a little bean its so cute. no one will be angry with you ur well within your rights to go if youre in pain xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

ok so i just called the maternity dept and spoke to a MWand expressed my concerns, she told me to take some paracetamol, rest up and make an appointment with my GP for 2moro but if it does get any worse then to go to the A&E
ATM the shooting pains are still there bu the tummy ache has gone for the time being. I have taken some paracetamol so will see how i go for the next couple of hours.

Well I ended up taking myself up the hospital today to the EPC, they did a scan and am pleased to say all is well YAY still having the tummy aches and side pains but they did say i had a mild water infection so this could be the cause. I'm also a lil further on that i thought (only by 4 days tho lol) so now have a definate due date, which is the 31st Aug Many thanks to all that gave me advice and concern, it was most gratefully received. Hopefully everything should be plain sailing from now on. I am so glad i went and got myself checked out now tho otherwise I would just be worrying myself silly.

I'm pleased it was good news at your scan today. I'm a couple of weeks behind you (due 15th September) and very envious as I want to be nearer the golden 12 weeks! glad all went well and it is very re-assuring as I have similar pains at the moment and although I had a scan on Monday am still worrying myself silly.
