20th
Does it not feel like you've been pregnant for ever?!

And yet on the other hand.... we could feasibly be mothers in 5 weeks

I'm due with dc2 on the 7th but this time round feels like could be any day now!! Baby has definitely dropped, I now rest my bump on my legs rather than boobs on bump!! Scary that it's so soon, can't imagine how will cope with 2 (dd is 2 in Feb) but as obviously millions of mums do I guess will just get on with it!

Yes another one here, due on 16th March and looking forward to finishing work in three weeks. Did someone just write we could be mum's in 5 weeks, jeepers! Enjoying lots of movement and not looking forward to him slowing down when it gets to cramped in there, I like my daily jabs in the ribs...
Anyone else finding it hard to sleep, is any position comfy!?!?!?

Report
mum2b09 · 21/01/2009 17:23

oh god i cant wait until i dont get jabbed 24/7 as lovely as it is to know the babys okay i think i get about an hour on the best of nights haha. and no there definately isnt a comfy position to sleep in iv found that if i lie behind my bf with my belly toughing his back the baby kicks into his back instead on my ribs haha xxxxxxxxxx

And where have you all been on our ante-natal thread?

Due the 8th, and having never made it to my due date before (ds1 is 3.5 and ds2 is 20 months) I'm just counting down the days and wondering when it'll happen.

Nice to see you ladies.

sleep is difficult...dictated by which way the baby flip flops. i have a pillow on either side of bump and one between my legs...dh can't find me...and a giant bottle of gaviscon to swig from...no chance for napping during day, but go to bed to rest from about 7.30..very anti social at the moment!

haah me 2 i dont bother with much im due in 7 weeks and stilll... wait for it .... flippin house hunting.. i dont even have a house to move the baby into yet talk about last minute ay!! oh an 1 thing while im here last time i got my fundal height measured i measured in cms exactly what i was in weeks the mw didnt seem too concerned but looked a little worried it should be the same amount in cms as you are in weeks shouldnt it :s lol thats what i was always taught anyway lol xxx

well today i had a consultant appointment (to book an induction because baby 2 was huughe) and my fundal height was 29...its only a rough guide (a couple of months ago midwife measured me 2cms ahead of weeks). dr said they are usually a few cm either side.

is this baby no1?

mum2b09 · 21/01/2009 18:44

yeahh this is my first so am all clueless haha! nevermind i just thought that you wer suposed 2 measure in cms what u are in weeks i doubt its too reliable anyway as im sure someone quite overweight would surely measure alot more anyway lol. nevermind baby seems to be doing well and me and babys dad wer both big babys so i doubt im going to get a little 6lber xxxx

i did ask dr today if i ate less would i get a smaller baby.....she said there was no link...baby takes what it needs from mum

fat mum doesn't equal fat baby

ds1 was 7lb 3oz

ds2 was 10lb 8oz

Report
mum2b09 · 21/01/2009 18:59

wow 10lb 3 is quite a big baby i heard a girl from my antenetal classes had a baby last week at 11lb 12!! god love her my body jus would not give birth to something that size haha. i know my doc said that too but i mean it must be harder to measure the fundal height through layers of fat. ive only gained about 13lb throughout my pregnancy still 8 weeks 2 get bigger tho ay hah xxx

Hello please can I join this thread?

I'm due 22nd with dc2 (a boy woo hoo) can't wait for the weeks to pass as I am the size of a house with sciatica all down my left side which is just great!!! So bring on the 22nd although on the other hand 5 weeks sounds just scary!!

dd1 turned 2 last Sunday and I think at the bong of midnight someone told her that 2 year old's are meant to be little terrors as she is just living up to the title. Still gorgeous though.

This pregnancy has been hard and just can't wait for it to be over and see my new bubba x

oh, me too!

I'm due 15th March, first baby. I still haven't got used to all the kicking and bumping. Can't say for sure about rib kicking, everything still seems to be in general belly area although sometimes my top abdomen hurts at night. Wish I could get more sleep! I get a decent amount now but need more, more more. Two days of work left for me - thank god!

have you got your bags packe and baby gear sorted? i'm about 1/4 of the way there.

Good luck everyone.

xx

Hello

Due on 17th March with baby number 1 - VERY excited.

Am torn between wishing the time away because I want to meet this baby and stop feeling like a big fat whale, and relishing this time because people say 'make the most of it - your first pregnancy is magical, you won't ever get this much time to yourself ever again, blah blah blah'.

Have bought some stuff but not packed hospital bag yet. I find it very difficult to talk to anyone about anything other than 'Me, me, me, childbirth, imminent motherhood, babies, breastfeeding, prams'. Is anyone else finding they just can't relate to the rest of the world unless it is about pregnancy, childbirth and babies?

I am due march 29 and it looks like i am pregnant forever. I have a toddler (18 months) who is driving me crazy as he is so naughty. I feel very exhausted and tired. Does anyone else feels tired all the time?

Haven't got time to read whole thread now but can I join? Due 31st March (so I just qualify!). Have to say I am nervous about giving birth as it is my first, but I am really looking forward to the pregnancy being over and getting to meet our little girl (we think). I have had bad sickness for 20 odd weeks and now have constant nausea, so looking forward to an end to that as it is very draining and not a lot of fun. On the plus side, no heartburn, aches or pains or other probs as yet and the nausea has meant I haven't gained too much excess weight...every cloud...!
