I used to get this when I was first pregnant, it will be your abdominal muscles starting to soften and stretch I would imagine, if you are really worried though there is no harm in asking your midwife

defo growing pains, egg is embedded and setting down roots so womb will now be responding in kind and softening and expanding. It could be that baby has taken root on your left hand side, so as all the blood vessels grow in the placenta you are getting the 'stitch' sensation.

I am 34 weeks now and I have one BIG stitch, namely baby's bum sticking out at the most inappropriate times!

I had a similar pain during my 3rd pregnancy - turned out to be an ovarian cyst (which was harmless and had shrunk by the 20 weeks scan).

BUT if you are concerned, please speak to your MW or your local early pregnancy unit.

Hehe..got an early scan at 10weeks..but that a whole 5weeks away!just worrying cos its on one side..thought it may be a bad sign...hordully not..i'm sure my tummy is inflated more than usual since I found out..but maybe i'm just not breathing in!..good luck to all of you too...

absolutely most likely ligament pains, but can also be one of the signs of an ectopic pregnancy. don't panic... it's just one sign, more likely of normal stretching. but if you have any brown prune juice bleeding or the pain becomes worse, bear it in mind.
congratulations!
