Pregnancy

I'm embarassingly huge! Will it even out?

I'm 14 wks pg with my second dc and can't believe how ridiculously pregnant I look...I'm in maternity trousers and my stomach looks huge, clearly because I've been a lazy slob since having my ds and have absolutely no muscle tone whatsoever. With my first pg I had a lovely neat little bump that I was dying to show off and although I wasn't skinny I didn't put an ounce of weight on elsewhere....now I look like a blimp, and I'm sure people are thinking I'm about 6 months gone. The Christmas food fest hasn't helped but really, it's embarrassing.

Anyone else out there with sympathy? Will the size even out later in pregnancy or should I hire a small marquee to wear from 20 weeks onwards? Will I ever get my figure back or IS THIS IT???

Thank you! I'm hoping the flabby paunch will just fill out with baby...

Yes in my first month my chest doubled in size, and I had a large bump from 4 months - but I only gained 5 kgs during the whole time - and I looked enormous doesn't help that I am short.

Same here at only 10 weeks but I'm in good shape after DS1 and have been doing pilates every day and personal training and my abs were really taught so I don't think condition has anything to do with it! friends have told me you explode with the second no matter what.

I'm 25 weeks and huge. I was in our local supermarket a couple of weeks and checkout woman asked if I was having a Christmas baby. Her face was a picture when I told her that it was, in fact, an easter baby. I laughed a lot!

But yes, I sympathise. I don't think I can stretch any more, so am desparately hoping it'll even out soon!

hi i was massive last time and after ds did not a lot about my saggy muscle tone. Now i'm 27 weeks and have been told by 2 people this week that i look full term. I asked mw at last check up about how big i felt and she very politly but awkwardly said "i don't think its all baby, could some of it be from before you got pregnant" (she mean't my fat belly)
