It could be nothing but I would get it cheked by mw or hospital.
My friend has this around 27 or so weeks & ignored it as she thought she may be peeing herself slightly. She went on to have her son prem at 30weeks, turns out it was her waters going slowly.

Hope this isn't the case with you but best to get it checked imo.

HTH

you should put a pad on and if it is damp in an hour you should call labour ward ,lots of discharge is normal in later pregnancy as can some loss of bladder control

agree you should be checked out though

i would call tonight if you are worried your waters are leaking TBH

Report
MissyK · 22/12/2008 20:47

I wouldn't either..
I'd do what Lulu says with a pad & call tonight if still leaking.
Is it when you stand up after sitting for a while or move suddenly?

I would always do what LULU says in regards to pregnancy.

Call tonight to put your mind at rest.

i am not an expert.. but any leakyness that you are concerned about should really be checked

more likely it is wee/ discharge

but sometimes it is amniotic fluid

and best to be checked out and have that confirmed in RL

you should call your MW

you are obviously v concenred as you have posted multiple times about your scan dates and now you are worried about losing fluid

Report
mrsgboring · 22/12/2008 20:54

Could be nothing untoward but you must get it checked because if it's amniotic fluid it's extremely serious.

you need to call your MW

it has been explained on your other threads that your dates are ok and that your size is irrelevant

what was your fundal height at your last appointmnet?

leaking waters could be v serious

you need to be checked out tonight

I know, Lulu, I would honestly have done it if I really thought it was necessary! Honest!

But baby thrashed around like a nutter for the rest of the day so I didn't need to. Has been moving in a wonderfully strong way ever since, thank goodness.

Thank you for thinking of me.

plse ring now & check, you can have a slow release of amniotic fluid & it may well be replacing itself, but it also can leave you & baby vulnerable to infection so you need to be checked over.

when your midwife measures where your bump is heightwise, she should do it at your Antenatal appointments

Report
MissyK · 22/12/2008 21:02

Please ring now, hopefully they'll check you over, decide you are just weeing yourself & you can get on with enjoying Christmas.

it is impossible to say

your dates and scans and your fundal height all tally, so you really don;t need to worry

a baby born at 29 weeks could do fine, or not

it is impossible to say, some babies born at term don;t do well

if you are worried, you HAVE TO CALL A MW NOW AND GET OFF THE INTERNET

sorry to shout, but to be blunt, no-one can reassure you it is definitely not amniotic fluid across cyberspace

your MW is there to be called if you are worred

so call ehr

They can try & stop the labour and/or give steroids to help the baby's lungs mature.

My friends ds (born at 30+2) was in special care for 6 weeks but is now a cheeky 4 year old who's too excited about Christmas to sleep!
