is it safe to take sanatogen pronatal tablets say they have 100%rda of iron and to take spatone as well

wondered if anyone knew if it was safe to take both?

i take both..i haven't asked anyone but can't imagine too much iron would be dangerous. i have had problems with anaemia though, and am desperate to avoid it this time!

I asked my midwife this (only I'm taking pregnacare) the last time I saw her and she said it was ok.

I was taking sanatogen but am now on tablets from the consultant to boost my iron (i've bled v.seriously after last two births and they want my iron levels nice and high this time, just in case !).

The hospital tablets have got way more iron than the sanatogen or spatone (took that my last two preganacys) but the box does have a warning in very big writting - overdose may be fatal .

I suspect an overdose would be way more than you would get from the spatone and sanatogen together but I'd definately check with the MW. Must admit it never occured to me you could get too much iron until I saw that warning !!
