Best pillow to get me to sleep... any suggestions?

Hi ladies!

I'm now 17+5 and my bump has finally arrived... - you can tell it's my first!! I'm so excited!!

However this new "addition" to the marital bed means that I am REALLY uncomfortable at night! I've seen a couple of sleep pillows that are supposed to be brilliant for support and also breastfeeding after - namely wedge pillows, V-shaped pillows, long body pillows and that funny Dreamgenie one from Mothercare... I'm on a serious budget cos we've just bought a house, so what would you recommend as the cheapest, best, all-round option?

Thanks!

Congrats on your bump! I love mine too

I've just bought a long pillow from Mothercare, it was £27.99 and I find it really comfy.

It tells you to put it through your legs and under your back, which I think is impossible and doesnt correlate with the picture at all so now I just put it through my legs and kind of sleep lazed over the top part.

V comfy, and not too expensive. DP hates it though as it always goes onto 'his side' apparently.

haha

Hello KittyCat. Like Milly I have Mothercare one and you can't use it like pic! but it's still very comfy (I'm 33 weeks and use it to sit on the sofa with!). My DP also claims it pushes him out of bed too, BUT I was out late last night and when I came back home he was sleeping on it. I had to fight to get it off him!!

Hi Ladies

My best friend has just bought the DreamGenii pillow that you use to sleep with and it encourages you to sleep on your left side which is good, you can also use it after for feeding or supporting the baby.
Have a look at this

Hope this helps

Hi there,

My uncle sent me over from USA an amazing body pillow by Leachco when I was preg with dd1 - I have since bought a memory mattress which I find comfy enough to no longer need the body pillow...

I think it was about £60 new but would be looking to rehome it for £20 plus courier on top if necessary...would you be interested in it maybe or would you just prefer to get a new one? I won't be offended either way.

Hi Lehocan

Sounds promising! Have you got a picture or a link to the website so I can see what it looks like?

Thanks!

Ooooh Lecohen that looks amazing! Like falling asleep in a fluffy cloud...

However we have a TINY double bed and I'm pretty sure that pillow would mean DH sleeps on the couch... so I'll have to say thanks, but no thanks! Good luck selling it!

i have one I will no longer be using. (have dd and ds, 3 and 1 and that is enough!) If you would like it, it's yours. You could try it, if it doesn't work, you can buy another one. Matters none to me as I was for putting it in a charity shop.
It is a v shaped one.
Let me know.
