[yawns]

baby is fully engaged now. in prime position for giving birth.

am having little contractions, not strong enough to get things moving, but enough to keep the little one in position. am hoping she stays where she is, and decides to get a move on pretty darned quick, and isnt just hanmging around there for one evening only.

have to go to drop in clinic tomorrow to drop off wee sample if nothing happens overnight.

what can i do (if anything) to move things along?

cos i'm feeling fed up with it now. this has been going on and off for two weeks now.

How exciting Misdee!

Do you have any Clary Sage? That is supposed to strengthen contractions.

Have your waters gone? If not, how about a dh sweep tonight?

Eat something that gives you the shits. The movement of the bowel can stimulate contractions.

Lunges with one foot on the bottom stair.

Relaxing and getting yourself mentally prepared to welcome this baby into the world.

Are you still having a homebirth? If so make sure everything is ready.

Good luck and keep us posted!

can you bear to do some dancing?

one of the moves we did in yoga was to stand with legs quite far apart lift your knee quite high open your hips then stomp your foot down onto the floor in a lunge. alternate legs helps jiggle baby down.

I did this with DS2, when I sat down contractions stopped so I danced for a few hours and once we got going he was out in an hour!

Good lUck..

OOh how exciting! I love all these birth threads!

No advice misdee, other than to keep mobile/upright and hope that gravity gets things going.

Hot curry and sex?!

Good luck and hope all goes well for you.

misdee, how random, i was just reading a thread where you were saying you had rib pain and that you were 25 weeks... then i read this and was like 'huh??' then realised someone has resurrected an old thread of yours from 2004!!
