21 weeks now and getting pains in both hip/buttock. mostly ok in day though bit stiff, but at night I'm struggling to sleep on side because of pain, and am not meant to sleep on back. Any advice?

hi stubborn, I've been having the same pain! I've found having a pillow either side of me so that the bump is supported on one side, my bum is on the pillow on the other & my hips kind of between the two. It has helped a bit but does make it a bit awkward if you want to roll over! It also means if I want to relax my hip that I'm lying on, then I can roll backwards a little so the pillow behind me is supporting me but I'm not fully on my back.

Sounds like SDP. Get GP to refer you to physio who will give you advice.
I found avoiding stairs helped, and a plastic bag on the car seat (so you can slide in & out rather than twisting iyswim).
It's all to do with hormones relaxing the pelvic muscles.
