Braxton Hicks contractions - what frequency is normal?

I'm 32 weeks pg and I've been having BH contractions pretty much on and off all day. Is this normal? In between whiles, my baby has been on the move all the time (the BH contractions must be keeping him awake).

I know I should probably speak to MW, but I think I'm probably worrying about nothing...

I had the very same thing, tonnes and tonnes of them from quite early but when I got to 33 weeks I couldn't walk without getting them, or going to the bathroom in the night, would have to stop because they were so intense. When I had been getting them all day and they seemed to be every 5 mins I was starting to get concerned so I called the midwife and she suggested having two paracetamol and a bath and that calmed them down. If they are very frequent, I would recommend the same and a lie down. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Slickbird. I started BH early, too, but this is the first time it's been this intense. If I get up from sitting or pick something up, I have to stop and wait for it to pass. I like the idea of a bath - not sure I'll be able to get out, though...

It sounds identical to me. If the bath and a sleep/lie down doesn't help, a wee call to the MW won't hurt. Good luck.
