Pregnancy

does morning sickness come and go? 8wks 3days

Hi,

I had really bad morning sickness that started at about 7 wks and went on every day last week, felt rotton. Some days I was sick, others I just felt really bad.

Then yesterday it suddenly seemed ok, I felt almost normal. Today I dont feel that bad either. I'm only just over 8wks though.

Bit worried about missed miscarriage as haven't got another scan for four weeks - does morning sickness tend to come and go?

Thanks.

Yeah with this pregnancy somedays were better than others when the MS first started- however by about week 9 it was full on everyday I could set my clock by it, started at 11:00am and got steadily worse until I had to go to bed at 7:30pm each evening (with my 2 year old). Enjoy the nausea free days while you can.

Same has happened to me - week 7 was dreadful much worse than DD. Today at nearly 9 weeks I feel almost normal, but at some point the retching/nausea will come back, I tend to have evening sickness at this stage. I'm a bit worried too but it does come and go at this stage for me.

it can do.

I was so worried about it in my last PG I rang NHS direct- a lovely and very sweet doctor reassured me that many of his patients had expereinced this.

Ooo that all sounds reassuring.

Just so paranoid something is going to go wrong after m/c last year. I had a 6 wk scan and when she said she could see a "little baby with a heartbeat" I burst into tears with relief and the picture is really crap because my tummy wouldnt stay still with crying

Seems a bit strange really wanting sickness, especially as at work and trying to hide it, but at the moment, I'd do anything for spontaneous heaving....

I am 8+5 weeks, and feel better today than I have for the past 2 weeks (have had MS every day all day). Had scan on Monday - and everything was fine. Am sure it will be ok - so don't worry ! x

My morning sickness comes and goes. Just when you think it stopped it comes back with a vengence. Cant quite believe that I am actually pg so like a bit of ms to reassure me that I didn't imagine it/make it up!!!

It'll come and go as your hormone levels increase and then level off and then increase again. I had the same thing happen in the first tri as well.

I've been hellish and then had a good day yesterday and then back to feeling pants today. Good days, Bad Days! I'm sure you'll be just fine.

Sorry Poppy34 - Not always Both my last pregs I was sick til 5 months. And some unlucky people get it all the way through. But most folk, it ends earlier.

Millie26, this could be me! I'm 8 weeks today and had a scan at 6 weeks with a heartbeat - so worried as had a mmc in Nov and 5wk mc in Mar. Had MS everyday up to yesterday, with a couple of days feeling better in the middle. Really worried this morning so came on MN to check for a thread just like yours. THANK YOU! You've reassured me. (Actually feeling a bit icky now!). Good luck with the following weeks - the past 4 weeks have been the longest of my life so far....

Hey loveverona, I'm glad this thread has helped you too. It turns out everything was ok as had unexpected scan at 9wks for a dermoid cyst and I could see he/she wriggling around and I'd been feeling fine for a day or so again.

I think as long as the other symptoms are still hanging around - boobs, tiredness etc - then that's a great sign.

Do be reassured, and congratulations on your pregnancy. xx

@Dolzo I had the exact same at that time, got myself in a bit of a state about it. I even posted on here. It came back with a vengeance a few days later. Symptoms come and go, but if you are really worried then get an early scan
