Is it ok not to see the doc for 8 weeks during my second trimester

I live in Dubai,
And we have very limited finaces at the moment. And healthcare is expensive here. I was just wondering if it would be ok not to see a health profesional for 8 weeks, follwoing my 20 week scan.
I have rhesus negative blood, and would require anti D around then. It is advised to see a doc/midwife every month. I am unsure what to do?

in uk it seems normal practice to see mw at 24wks (1st baby only) and 28wks for all.

I didn't see a doc from 20 weeks till week 34 - I saw a midwife I think once at 32 weeks but not before. There's not much to go wrong once you are past 20 weeks - providing your anomaly scan is okay. Tis worth investing a few quid in a blood pressure monitor though just in case, just keep an eye on it. If it goes over 90 diastolic (the low number) you need advice.

This is my third pregnancy and after a check up at 20 weeks, I didn't see the midwife until last night at 30 weeks. But I do have a blood pressure monitor to monitor my own blood pressure, and having had two problem free pregnancies, I was confident everything was fine.
