Had a CTG at hospital on sunday. MW said ooo its a very bony bum,I think thats a head. So shes thinking its breech. However, Im not convinced as my movements are all still higher up as they always have been and baby was definately head down a week ago as ive been having regular scans.
Where did you feel your movements when carrying a breech baby? also at 35+3 is baby being breech a problem? many thaanks

Hi,

I was breech until 38 weeks when he moved. Most of the really hard bump was right under my right boob which was quite uncomfortable. Kicking was over to the left of my belly button.

Id say plenty of time for your baby to move. I was actually in having a check-up to see about a further scan and a section when they discovered he'd moved.

The bit under my right boob was his head!

i have the hard lump under my left boob with movements all over the front and right side so i guess it could be breech then and still feel similar to cephallic?
I'll find out 4 definate on thurs if shes breech as i have another scan , but just wondered about other peoples experiences x

Yours could very well be Ceph because my movements are no different to what they were when he was breech except the lump under my right boob isn't as uncomfortable and hard if you get what I mean!

Kicks are low down for me, with head under my right boob.

Heartbeat on my doppler is above belly button, plus I can move its head, and it feels like a ball shape then a gap before the back iyswim?

No high up kicks, but it likes to move its head about!

Mine is moving from transverse to breech in any given hour just now tough!

Hiccups are very low too, where as with ceph babies, i have always got them very high up.

I did a thread about it last week.

For me DD being breech also featured the 'starfish' position so I had a head right under my ribs and a hand it seemed trying to grab each boob, plus a foot on each hip bone kicking downwards. That was at 37 weeks, she turned entirely before 38 weeks into a more routine position.

The only way really to tell is with an ultrasound, the other thing is - they do jig about and sometimes you wake up really uncomfy because they have turned but it takes ages before you realise what's happened.

Midwife thought DD1 might be breech at 38 wks but didn't send me for scan. Registrar was called during labor to see if she was breech. Turns out she was just really skinny.
