Lying on front.

Dh woke me up in a panic today. His alarm went off and he put it on snooze. In the 10 minutes between the 1st and 2nd alarm going off I had rolled onto my front. DH's bedtime reading is my pregnancy for dummies book(dunno why we have a DS so we know the basics) he then went on to find the page that says not to lie on my front.

It was for literally 10 minutes. Will I have done any damage?

TIA

Don't worry. At a certain point it will become too uncomfortable to lie on your front anyway.

No, no damage at all.

your uterus has not even risen up out of your pelvis yet, so it would be impossible to do anything like squashing the baby !! even as you get more pregnant, and your bump gets bigger, you won;t hurt the baby by lying on your front, the baby is protected by:

amniotic fluid, two layers of membranes, your uterus which is thick and muscular, your body fat etc......

so baby is nicely cushioned !

please don;t worry

Thanks. I did think it was too early to be worrying about it but DH got himself into a panic. He said he needed MN to tell me it was ok before he'd stop worrying so I'd better text him.

At almost 40 weeks pregnant I can't even imagine trying to lie on my front - it would be too painful!!
