Baby kicking me in bladder

Hi

I am 29/30 weeks pregnant and for the last 15 hours the baby has been very, very active and not slept alot. Its been the most active it has ever been.

The thing is it keeps kicking me in what I think is my bladder, it feels like I am going to pop down there, but when I try to go to wee only a small amount comes out. I sort of feel sore on the inside too.

Is this normal or not....

thanks

It may not be the baby, you may have a uti?
I would see your GP on monday.

I had the same thing beeper at about the same stage of pregnancy, and around the same time MW sent off some of my wee for further testing as it was full of protein. Turned out I didn't have an infection though.

you could try lying on your left side and encouraging baby to move into a dfferent position?

Mine was in the habit of kicking me RIGHT in the bladder too (seemed to have stopped now I hope) - once or twice so fiercely that I thought I was going to piss myself! But like you it turned out there wasn't much there.

I never felt sore though so you might want that looking at.

My LO kicked me in the bladder about 4 weeks ago (32 weeks). I was standing at the kitchen sink and for that second, i thought i was going to wet myself. It passed as soon as the kick ended.

However, feeling sore and only peeing a tiny bit may indicate a UTI. TheDevil is right - see your GP to give a urine sample.
