I had this in my first pregnancy, its agony and my heart goes out to you, I found a little bit of relief (sometimes) squatting on all fours (like doggy style sorry to use this as an example...) to try and use gravity to pull the baby away from whatever nerve it was laying on. My legs hurt so bad one time I stood up got that awful pain and couldn't move for nearly an hour. Hope things improve for you soon xx

Hi babycarrier, I just started suffering from a really nasty backache this past week, I'm 34+ weeks. How far along are you? I'm still working in a desk job and it actually hurts to get in and out of the chair! Someone told me that a pregnancy support belt really helps take the weight and pressure off, maybe you want to try that? Hope you get some relief soon. Ax

babycarrier, physiotherapy can help - see if your doctor can get you an appointment. I can really recommend it.

I had similar symptons at 20 weeks and they suspected SPD (have you had this checked?), but it turned out to be a dislocated pelvis. I have physio regularly as a result (am 38 weeks). My LO's latest trick is also to trap the nerve along the left side of my hip/pelvis so I know what you are going through. My physio is really experienced with patients in pregnancy and usually manages to persuade LO to "move over" a bit and free it.

Good Luck
