Hi Guys

After some advise I am 39+5 with baby number 1. Think may have had a bit of a show yesterday lost some clear sticky gloopy type stuff. Have been having braxton hicks all last night about 15 mins apart very strong took my breath away and felt a bit like a pulling sensation very low down. Also some period type niggles. The braxton hicks where strong enough to wake me up.

I really dont know what to expect is this the start??

Also can you get two types of braxton hicks as Sometimes they feel like they are pulling from low down, and others feel like they are pushing from higher up?? If that makes sense??

Any advise welcome I'm starting to get so excited

Well, it sounds possible, I had my first at 39+5. They can keep you guessing though which is thoroughly unfair.

Carry on as normal, if nothing much happens overnight, have a good walk tomorrow - exercise always helped mine along.

Good luck!

It could well be the start of things. Make sure you keep eating and going to the toilet regularly, and if you can, sleep.

I never had braxton hicks, so I can't tell you what they are like.

Good luck!!

Let us know how it goes. Whatever you do, don't get too excited and stay up for hours. If it is the real thing, it could last for hours and you need to rest!

I hope things get moving for you, but just to let you know I had really strong braxton hicks for 3 weeks before DS put a show in!

Keep on going for walks and try to get as much sleep as possible if you think this is the beginning! You'll need the energy later on for pushing!
