Most celebs have elective C-Secs at 37/38 weeks in which a tummy tuck is done at time of surgery. They also avoid a single grain of wheat, sugar, etc etc i.e eating only a ramekin of food at each meal etc and severely limited types of food. If you can keep that up and survive the misery of it, then I think you stay a bit smaller.

I've got a few lines now with DS2 and am working on acceptance and being as good as poss with the last few weeks and eating/exercising. My pregnancy specialist acupuncturist/dietician say's take zinc for the stretch marks (now not after preggers!)

Good luck to all of us I say!

Meee.. I got terrible stretch marks - particularly on my boobs. I smothered myself in bio-oil and it didn't seem to do much.
I did however put on 4 stone and had a 9lb 11oz whopper so it was bound to happen.

None here, have some that show up from when I developed hips at 16 or so.

Oh my gosh - I'm just 20 weeks and just discovered first stretch marks, is this normal? You're right, celeb pictures don't seem to show any right up until end!!! Feel so unattractive.

9 women at work all pregnant...and my bump is bigger than those even 3 months ahead of me!!! sad
MIL got none after 5 pgs.

I had none with dd. However, I have loads at the top of my thighs from a growth spurt as a teen. hmm
No stretchmarks until DS was overdue by a week. Damnit, if only he was on time...This time round (36wks) all looking much better. Am eternally grateful to sister in law for giving me Elemis Japanese Camellia Oil for Christmas, which you rub in each day. All the redness has gone and even my husband was shocked at the difference it has made to my first baby stretchmarks. No idea how much it costs though, but it might be quite procey considering how well it's worked...
some on bum and non existant boobs but not that noticable

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
