It is a bit unusual, we are not accustomed to it, I think that's why so many people are saying no.
It does sound a bit like what I would say if my four year old blew his nose and then gave me the tissue. But honestly, there's no reason why it shouldn't be a lovely name!

I also like Aiden for a girl, but can never remember if it's an 'e' or an 'a' in the girl's version. My all time favoutite though is Mhairi (pronounced Vari) but the poor thing would spend her whole life saying, 'it's not Mari, it's Vari', lol!
