I have just done a positive pregnancy test - probably only 4 to 5 weeks pregnant. In the last week the skin on my face has become dry and flakey and I have also got little dry, itchy patches on other parts of my body. Do you think this has anything to do with pregnancy hormone etc or is it completely unconnected?

Congrats fells- definitely sounds pg related. I've done this in all of my pgs to date. This time its been my face...eyelids and corners of mouth, and sacrum!

Me too - have always had dry skin, and it got even worse when pg. I recommend E45 lotion. Its cheap, non-smelly, really effective and comes in large squeezy bottles! Congratulations on the new bean.

congratulations. and most likely pg related. Had that problem too, to a degree that the skin cracked. E45 helped and also a pregnancy oil gel thingy from boots. Unfortunately can't remember exactly what it was called now but it was pink! and smelled nice.

I also found drinking lots of water and not using too much soap helped. I tried Dove shower stuff but that made it worse!

congratulations! I have had the same thing (am now 19 weeks) on mainly my face, but also my hands. Lots of water as mrsbigd said, and I found that almond oil on my face is almost the only thing that will help there..... btw, the dry skin is just the tip of the pg iceberg i'm afraid!
