Title says it all really i've never had any non- food cravings in my other two pregnancies but this week in this pregnancy I can't get enough of the smell of rubber and i'm even tempted to steal one of ds's dummies to suck/bite on. Do you reckon i'm deficient in some important vitamin or just a bit strange? I was in Wickes DIY today and couldn't get enough of the aisle which had some kind of rubber tubing on, i'm starting to get funny looks!

Weird I've just realised I posted this thread twice and thought I was going mad and imagined other posts for a minute!

I don't know - but I had that craving REALLY badly with my 1st child.

A hot water bottle filled with hot water (increasing that rubbery smell with the heat!) used to be heaven!

I'd sit and sniff it while watching the telly of an evening.

This is strange isn't it? This post caught my eye because I can remember my mum having the same craving when going through the menopause - so perhaps it's a female hormone thing?! I can vividly remembering her chewing rubber bands regularly; it must have been a year or so, weird!
