winter vomiting and 6w pg - any advice?

Hello, I'm six weeks pg and my family has been struck down by the plague. Ds woke up in a pool of poo on saturday (this from the boy who never even soiled a pair of pants while potty training), dd has vomited a dozen times today. And now I've thrown up a good few times.
I'm presuming it shouldn't have an adverse consequence for foetus (or is embryo at this stage?). Can't cause miscarriage can it? Presumably the main thing is not to get dehydrated?
Any thoughts and reassurance welcome,
Pol

Hi Polly, we accidentally gave my best mate a really nasty d+v bug when she was staying with us and 11 weeks pg, she said it was the worst she'd ever had (and she's had amoebic dysentery while travelling , I still feel guilty about it!!), they checked her at A&E just to make sure it was just a bug but said it shouldn't affect the pregnancy at all, just to keep hydrated, so you should be fine - she now has a lovely healthy 3 month old - hope this helps!

Thanks Systems - have only just got to the computer to read this after two days of vomiting. Now feel absolutely fine, I must say. Does make me realise how fantastically lucky I am not to have morning sickness generally as must be hellish.
Feel like I've been wiping up children's sick and poo for years now.
