Is this normal????? I didn't have it with #1 and all very easy etc and easy birth and fab DD. It may just be that I can now really appreciate what having a baby is really like (although I have loved every minute of it and haven't found it traumatic or anything) and am finding it hard to imagine looking after two at once OR I have a gut feeling about something coming up. Now it's in my head I can't shake it!

How old is your 1st child?

I have 2, and i felt a little like this when pregnant with the 2nd.
I was anxious about different hings with 1st, like the healthiness of the lo, or not.

What will be the age difference?

Its just your head getting used to the idea. Doing overtime.

When are you due?

Ok so dd will be 17 months when new baby arrives....

Wellllllll, I am not going to kid you that it will be easy. I had a 21 month age gap and it was extremely tough to begin with. Dd was, imo, still a baby when her brother came along. Accept any offers of help when your new baby comes along, and if finances permit get some childcare input / a cleaner etc

However, (silver lining coming up)a small age gap is fantastic now (3.7 and 5.4 yrs). They are fairly 'easy' to look after and they luuurve one another so much. In fact they want to get married when they are older . I personally think both their lives are enriched by having each other as siblings. Hold onto that thought

Thanks for that!

I hope it is that that my subconcious is worrying about and not something more sinister!!! I have to say that I keep forgetting that I'm PG - perhaps that's me being in denial! It's almost like I can't get excited because it's not going to happen or something difficult is going to preoccupy us....maybe it's twins

I have a 3 year old a 2 year old and an 8 month old and have just found out I am pregnant again.

Speaking to my friends I think it's always a personal worry and a big shock going from 1 to 2 kids but then going from 2 to 3 didn't daunt me at all, it was just all about organisation for me personally and now this 3 to 4, bring it on I say!!

It is a funny thing though I sometimes laugh at how freaked out I was with my first I never thought I'd ever be able to leave the house again and now when my older 2 are in day nursery and I just have my youngest it doesn't feel like I have a baby with me at all he's so easy.

LOL at twins my dh keeps joking about that Russian woman who had 5!!!

Thanks for your lovely replies!! I have to say - having sat down and had a proper think - I am the world's sleepiest person and I am even less sure that I will ever manage with 2!! Believe it or not I actually want 3 and I guess it's just a matter of getting the routine sorted out. You all sound like very capable ladeez
