signed off work, leave in three weeks, worried new employer will find out and sack me before i start!!!

Hi everyone, I'm new here 1st pregnancy, into ninth week now.

So tired, feel sick, food aversions, lost weight etc etc, just the normal stuff, but I work 60 miles away as a community nurse, and have been signed of sick for a week...I couldn't get to liverpool if I tried!!

I leave my job in three weeks and I am worried my new employer will find out I am off sick and say I'm not fit to do my job and then revoke my job offer??? Can they do this, especially if it's pregnancy related..I really would go to work if I could!

Prob is, I had three months of in January for a back injury, I would have returned to work much earlier but my current employer took ages to get me an appt with occupational health to be signed fit for work....

Have you got the job offer in writing? You can't be sacked for being pregnant.
