Aching tummy

Hi it's me again having yet another stress!

I had an antenatal appt yesterday and was poked and prodded about - apparently more so than most cos of my strong stomach muscles and over eager student midwife

Anyway today, all day on and off I've had stitch like pain in my belly on the right hand side. I've been to Yoga tonight (been a regular for over 3 years) in the hope that stretching would help - told teacher and took it easy but still aching - actually more on the left now

Baby is moving fine all day just wondered if it's likely to go on it's own or if it's something I should let my MW know about?/be concerned about?

I found that I had stitch like pains if I'd overdone it - or was singing in a concert or playing in a concert. I ended up being refered to the physio where the most useful thing I got was a support 'bandage' (a bit like the things you can get for bad knees/wrists/elbows, but a lot bigger) that I could wear over my bump and which gave me extra support. Possibly the poking and proding that you received has triggered some muscular problems similar to the strains that I encountered in these circumstances. Without the support they did go, but with the support they didn't get bad in performance situations...

Hope things feel better soon.

I had an achy and sore tummy after almost every antenatal visit right from the begining. Just the prodding and poking seemed to set it off. As bub got bigger he contributed as well by having major kicking and wriggling sessions every time too that were really painful. Consultant said it was nothing to worry about and was pretty common unless they became crampy or there was any fluid or blood loss.

Thanks - they seemed to have eased today - still there a little but not as bad - def muscular and not crampy!

Thanks
