Hi - OK so your online doula-ing starts now! (BTW have you seen MUM + ONE on Sky? all about doulas).

Anyway I'm 36 weeks today and for the past 2 or 3 days the BH's have been getting stronger and more frequent - actually taking my breath away and I start breathing rather peculiar at times because they are so uncomfortable.

I had my A/N last Friday and the baby was 4/5 and moving very happily - still is! She feels very low and (TMI) I really feel scared going to the loo in case she pops out - I can sort of 'feel' the pressure on everything - IYSWIM?? Also those sorts of 'visits' are becoming VERY frequent!!

Would you mind just letting me know if I should be calling my midwife sooner rather than later? DH just flew away last night until 22 Oct.

Thank you!!!!

Not Lulu, but am a Doula, NO, I wouldnt be calling unless the ctx are more ergular, these could be all Bh's, but remember BHs are doing something. Pressure is probably baby resting and fully engaged. Dont feel scared of going to the loo, your body will be having a natural clear out if things are starting to happen.

hellooooooo !!!! time flies ! wow !

yes, have been sky plussing mum+ one !

baby will not fall out, although it does feel like that... agreee with herts..

if your waters go , then call

also, a bloody show is a good sign things are progressing

keep us posted !

exciting !

if you are uncomfy, try sitting on or leaning over a birth ball, or even over a chair.. if you lie down to rest, lie on your left side if possible

eat, drink lightly but make sure you are refreshed and hydrated

a bath can make you feel more comfortable too and a couple of paracetomal too

Hi Lulu

Thank you!

I have managed to get DH home by next Friday - 3 days earlier than expected sp all is good.

The BH still there and teh pain is now going around my back!

Why on earth can;t babies come when they are supposed to instead of leaving us on tenterhooks for weeks on end????????????

Off to watch my recorded 4 hours of babies!!

Thank you Lx

if you have pain in your back, then definitely use the birth ball, if baby is back to back, then labour can be slower to start and dilation can be slower, so try to encourage baby around

google OFP and look at www.spinningbabies.com for more info !

take it easy ! x
