I didn't get one until I'd given birth
don't think it had anything that wonderful in!

You're missing nothing really! Just loads and loads of leaflets - the kind that fall out of every baby catalogue on the planet. There might be a piece of free chewing gum or a sachet of cuppa soup or something like that - but really that's it!!

The one in the hospital is a bit better with sudocrem in a teeny pot and some soap etc, but otherwise it's just adverts for formula milk - really disappointing.

Missnatalie!!!! you must be so thrilled!!! I must have missed that announcement!!! I didn't get given mine till about 30 weeks, and it was only because I asked, they sometimes forget to give them out at the booking in appointment. If you redemm the vouncher in the pack at asda you also get a £5 vouncer for baby stuff

the bounty packs are really not that great, but if you want one, go on their website...

I dont think I got mine until I gave birth, but cant you get a voucher for the pregnancy one and redeem it in Boots, I think I tried, but they'd run out of packs. There isnt much in them though. Its full of adverts to make it look like its full of stuff.

Oh. Thats rubbish. I thought that there would be lots of samples for stretch mark creams etc and money off coupons. Think ill just buy the mags. Probably get more from them.

By the way Mother and Baby magazine this month has some goodies included. A rattle, dummy, huggies baby wipes (the ones in the red packet). And of course the mag is a goot reat too

Thanks everyone.

Sparkly - i kept this pregnancy quite for as long as possible due to whats happened in the past. Suspected another EP at first then another MC (had quite alot of bleeding) but all turned out ok. Touch wood its still going ok. Bought a doppler at 10w and have been listening to the HB 2x a day since then. Also last week started feeling movements. Im keeping everything crossed that everything goes smoothly this time. OMG i cant beleive how far gone you are already!! Where does the time go. Do you know what flavour your having yet?

Aww how cute. Got a feeling that this one is a boy but would be happy with a girl. As long as its healthy ill be happy.

At the time everyone, inc yourself told me that it would happen, i really didnt think it would. But i got there in the end. Just hoping that this one stays put long enough.

i am now getting panicky because I gave birth prematurely to DD1 at 31 weeks (which I am past now) and 33 weeks with dd2. But they did discover that I have a clotting disorder and have been on aspirin since 10 weeks and injecting clexane since 27 weeks

Im sure that everything will be ok sparkly. Are they keeping a close eye on you hun. This will be your 3rd birth right? And you know what they say 3rd time lucky. You never know this one may come late and you'll still be preggers at 41w .

A bounty pack is usually just you trading your personal details to a company that sells them on just about ANY manufacturer of something baby related in exchange for getting a small sample pack of fairy non bio, or some fabric conditioner, and some leaflets. Oh, and maybe on Muslin square if you are lucky.

StellaPolaris · 11/09/2007 15:17

oh, and I have a loopy keyboard so please disregard spelling miskates, as I dont want to be flamed for that.....

I remember DW was disppointed when we got our Bounty pack. She thought we were going to get some coconut chocolate bars in it.

Now THAT would be nice... hmmm a nice bounty bar and a cup of tea post birth!

bobsmum · 11/09/2007 16:15

I remember a thread a while back where some mums had refused the bounty pack because they knew it just meant a whole heap of junk mail. If you accept it, your name is put on every mailing list under the sun.

Ididn't know that until recently, although it seems obvious now so next time I'll probably say no unless the freebies are astonishing!!

Someone did tell me that the forms you need for child benefit are in there, or is that rubbish?

Report
StellaPolaris · 11/09/2007 23:16

MrsMar, I dont know if they are. I think I ordered mine of the inland revenue website. The Bounty pack is for sure not the only place to get those forms, if they are in there...

Report
Jojay · 11/09/2007 23:19

I got my child benefit forms in the bounty pack I got in hospital.

About the only useful thing in it
