Yep, I look all spotty too and it is doing my head in! I used to be really clear-skinned and am meant to be blooming (I'm in the second trimester) and I look bloated and spotty instead. Thank good ness for this weather and giant sunglasses!

oooh same here, I've had spots, limp hair and chronic coldsores (literally, at one point I had three at one time, and then I had six in a row one after another!)

Do any of you know what you're having? I'm having a boy and I've heard that the male hormones can make you spotty/hairy!

i had a boy last time, and i looked great. got my anomoly scan Friday, so may know what i'm having then.

having cleaned the bathroom, i am having a cup of tea and eating a whole bar of Green and Blacks. It won't help matters, but nothing does!

Congratulations, pregnantgrrl! you getting married before or after you've had the baby? I wouldn't worry anyway just get yourself down to a decent salon, get all over exfoliation/wax and fake tan, and splash out on swanky makeup. No-one will be any the wiser!

I looked great when pregnant with my DS too. Lovely shiny hair, clear skin, the lot. This time, my hair is frizzy and weird, I've come out in a load of spots on my face and chest (ew) and the rest of my skin has gone really dry. This pregnancy thing is fun, ain't it?

They say girls rob you of your looks....

I'm spotty too. Juicy ones all over - face, neck, back & tops of the arms, yuk. My hair also seems curlier & greasier.
I look like Leo Sayer with acne - not a good look.
I can't wait 'til I 'bloom'...

Report
RGPargy · 25/05/2007 16:43

lol @ eaglebird and Leo Sayer

I'm sorry to tell you all that my skin has been lovely, my nails are really long and strong but as my hair is v. short, i cant really tell you about that! However, i have noticed more facial hair (bloody hairy moles that i have to pluck!!) than normal so my tweezers are going into overdrive at the moment.

I've heard that hairiness is a sign of a boy...... [crosses everything]

I am 24 weeks and there is no sign of blooming here, my skin, hair and nails are fragile and dry and I am exhausted !!
Congrats on the forthcoming nuptials !! I hope all improves for you by then.

I've gone to the opposite extreme and am suffering from hideously dry skin and eczema all over my hands, arms and face, the like of which I have not had since I was a child (think Michael Gambon in the Singing Detective and you'll get the idea). So am currently having to go to bed swathed in bandages to try to stop my skin weeping. Attractive, hey!

Still, only 16 weeks to go (agh!).

So I sympathise with you all!

Oh! thank god for that thought i was the only spotty hairy pregnant woman walking around at the moment or maybe i should say wobbling. My hair is of the stuff that can be used on old mattresses and ive spots i never had as a teenager lol oddly enough ive noticed a fine down over my face and tummy. Maybe im metamorphosing into a yeti? Who knows time will tell 32 weeks gone and 6 weeks to go !! im spotty grumpy hairy and addicted to anything thats bad for me! lol PREGNANCY does not suit me

Hi all, I'm 20 weeks and look like I have been ravaged of my life essence by a very greedy vampire. I'm pale, dry skinned and straw haired, sore boobed and fat fat fat (not baby, just my love of eating junk!!)
