My EDD is on the 12th of July and I had a growth scan today which was normal except from the fact that the volume in my amniotic fluid is reduced to 3.6cm. I'm worried. Anyone in my case????

Well they are being cautious, believe me if they were really worried, they'd induce you.,... and you want to avoid an induction.
If you are THAT concern, get another scan next week.

Can I just ad that there is nothing you can do about it.... worrying won't help .... but you have all my symnpathies as I an imagine you are worried but as I said that doesn't help anything as you can't "fix" this.

Cheers Pupuce you're right. I am having another scan on Monday anyway. I'll just wait and see. I was just wondering if anyone else was in my case that's all.

if they were worried they would have induced you. My amniotic fluid had reduced over a two week period ( between scans) and they did doppler scans which also gave poor readings and whisked me off to labour ward and the rest is history...... etc... I was 10 days away from EDD. So if they were worried they would have done something.

Just wanted to add my agreement to pupuce, there is nothing you can do about it - I had lost a significant amount and they looked at me like I was stupid when I said I did not realise I was loosing that fluid - I reminded them that very pregnant woman can wee for England and how the hell was I supposed to notice a little more fluid!!!!

Anyway hope all goes well for Monday... just take it easy. Try not to worry - take comfort in the fact that they would have done something about it if they were worried.

hope that helps.

My waters broke 16 days before my due date and they just kept an eye on me over the next week until I went into labour just to make sure no infection set in.

Thanks guys, yes it helps a LOT!!!
Everything else apart from the fluid level was normal. I don't think my waters have broken but as you say, you can never tell. Plus it's hot and I sweat sometimes so that makes me feel even more paranoid.
