Left-sided pain, should I be worried?

DH and I are ttc. It's too early to do a test this month because if we are successful it would be only 9 days after conception IYKWIM, I am not due yet.

I have this really sharp intermittent pain really low down, on the left hand side, in the groin/lower abdomen. It's not agony, but it's sharp enough to worry me a bit. Has anyone had this?

i found withmy first pregnancy i got lots of strange pains near the bottom.
all was well though. i think it was my body getting used to the idea.
sure someone else will know a bit more.
i am pretty sure it is nothing to worry about.

Thanks I suppose I am worrying that if I am not pregnant, what could it be, or could it be something going wrong, like an ectopic or something. I didn't have this with my other children I don't think, but it's hard to remember.

probably nothing to worry about, but do keep the option of ectopic in the back of your mind, if it gets worse, seek help.

Good luck and I hope you are PG

Thanks golds, do you know what ectopic feels like and whether this could be one?

with my ep i had a bit of pain on the implanted side it was quite sharp but nothing major, it was the bleeding that alerted me!

I got period pain cramps when I was having a ep, like many pregancies, then one morning woke up with pain in my left side, very sharp, it seemed to be in my left and groin area, it hurt as I sat down, it also felt like I had wind (that bloated feeling) this all followed by feeling faint and eventually pain in my right shoulder (the opposite side to the lower pain).

As I said these pains you are experiencing are probably nothing, but it is always wise to be clued up on ectopic symptoms. It would test as so as you can. HTH

Just thought I'd add my bit on here, I've just got back from a scan (long story, 6+5 weeks pg and some bleeding) had also been having a sharpish pain in my right side. The scan showed up a cyst on my right ovary which the sonographer said was fairly normal and would 'drop off' by 12 weeks. This has been causing my pain (well, some of it!) just something else to keep in mind x
