Extra scans due to maternal age? 40 years plus

Has anybody been offered an extra/extra scans due to being a little older? I'm 40 this year, and have been told that if I was 40 before my due date I would have been offered extra scans and consultant led care. As I am 40 after due date, I get normal midwifery care.
I was just wondering what experience anybody has of this...?

I'm 41 and, other than seeing a consultant briefly at my 12 week scan, I haven't had any extra care. I questioned this with my midwife at my 25 week appointment and she said I didn't need them as the pregnancy was progressing as it should, baby is measuring perfectly and I'm healthy.
I think it depends on your area as well.

41 and 28 weeks pregnant. Was told by community midwife I'd be consultant-led, but when I chased this up having heard nothing, the hospital said there was no need as I wasn't at zany additional risk....

Thanks for the replies! Midwife said at last appt that I'm measuring small, but within range at 35 weeks. Think I might chance my arm and ask for a growth scan to be on the safe side.
I think different areas have different policies on induction for 'older' mothers as well, not keen on going to 42 weeks if I can avoid it.

Looked at the evidence for 40 week (or even 38 week!) Induction.
If dopplers good and growth/liquor volume good then no indication to do anything beyond the usual.
Thats what the rcog green top guidance says too.
Worth a chat through with consultant
