Me and DH put the kids to bed, then have a carpet picnic with a special cake each afterwards. Last year he got chocolate profiteroles that you had to dip into warm chocolate sauce! Then we play a board game and chat. We watch the TV a little bit to see the fireworks in London. Then we nip outside and watch the neighbours set theirs off.

We have a no phone or ipad rule so we make time to talk to each other

I will have been sober through my Bday, Xmas, Hubby bday and NYE. Plus friends bday and a Christening today.

I hasn't really bothered me until now heading up to xmas.....mulled wine baileys and all that Jazz. I know its not the end of the world.

I could murder a pint of lager. Classy bird I know hahaha

It's the first time iv been unable to drink on nye too me and oh have always gone out!! We've said about maybe having a couple of our friends at our house instead so that we're not sat bored and we still get some sort of atmosphere! Nye is a week before my dd so neither of us will be drinking and we explained to our friends that if I go into labour we may be kicking them out lol!

Depending on how pregnant you are, sleeping through the whole thing might become very appealing! I watched the fireworks on YouTube the next morning

I was about 10 weeks pregnant with ds1 New Years Eve a few years ago. We had been invited to a party, but I didn't feel up to it. Told dh to go, but he stayed with me instead. If I remember correctly, I was fast asleep by the time midnight arrived!

If you're wanting to go out and celebrate, go for it. Lots of places serve mocktails. Go out for a meal with your oh if you want. Enjoy it! We've stayed in every New Years since as finding a babysitter isn't the easiest so we just plan a nice night in together, nice food and drinks.

Depending on how you feel you can still go out if you want.

I don't drink alcohol but still manage to have fun celebrating with friends.

Hubby's birthday is 1st Jan so we've not been out for a few years so there's no birthday hangover. We have nice dinner, in the past, a few drinks (ok, just for him this year), light the fire and watch a film on tv. We just enjoy spending time together.

Well this year I will be extremely huge if I'm still pregnant as I'm due 3rd Jan! I may invite myself to my mams party and do some dancing and tuck into the buffet. That's if I have the energy!!

I was 10 weeks last year. We went to family and I was in bed a soon as we'd done the auld Lang syne.
This year dp has got Christmas off but is working the new year (healthcare) so he'll be home about 10ish. We'll just get some nice nibbles and watch tv.
It was a sad realisation last year that it will likely be a few years till we can do something on NYE without the baby.

We never go out on NYE and we are mid 20's Blush now we have DD we have an excuse and DD2 is very much on the way so it'll be a fair few years until we bother I think! I could murder some prosecco though

I'll be 38 weeks this NYE, so will more than likely be sleeping, downing gaviscon like its going out of fashion or moaning about how uncomfortable I am. I've become extremely talented at all those things in the last few weeks. DP and I are just going to have fancy food, wine for him and a cosy night in. One of our last before baby is born, quite looking forward to it!

If you do want to go out, you could be hugely popular as designated driver!

We go to a family party every year and will be doing the same this year. I'll be just over 35 weeks so think we will probably see the new year in then will be home by around 1am. The kids (4 and 2) normally crash at around 1-2 after having a sleep around 8 til 10 so will just go straight home and all get in bed. I'll also pray for a lie in but won't hold my breath!
