High risk pregnancy help

Hello,

This could be something and nothing but I'm slightly worroed by the lack of contact from the hospital or midwives as I'm considered high risk. Perhaps I'm worrying over nothing but kind of feel like I'm not in the system and have been forgotten. Don't get me wrong I don't want to have constant appointments and to be honest feel pretty great at 35 weeks but the safety of my baby is important so just thought I would see what you guys thought.
I'm high risk due to having a DVT 2 years ago in my left leg. I also had a BMI of 30 when getting booked in so they classified me as high risk. For a start I was prescribed the wrong amount of Fragmin blood thinners for my weight and also had to wait ages to get my booking in appointment due to a mix up at the GP's.
I have since been to the hospital for a gestational diabetes test which came back negative but not been seen by any consultant since only the midwife at my GP. I have also noticed that a health visitor is supposed to come round and visit me but at some point between now and the birth but not heard a peep about this.
I don't mean to sound like I want to be summoned to hospital all the time but I just thought as they called me high risk that they would want to check in with me a bit more. This is my first pregnancy so I don't really have anything to compare this to.
Would like to hear that I'm just being paranoid!

Sounds as though you've been discharged from the consultant and passed back to mw led care, and it's the dvt that is your only real remaining issue if your GTT came back negative and your bmi is only 30.

I was passed back and forth a couple of times and it meant that I had to get very proactive about chasing things up because things fell down the cracks. There should be a list of the usual appts you should have as standard during a first pregnancy in the front of your notes. Ring and ask.

Not all areas do hv home visits prior to birth, I didn't have one, I wouldn't worry much about that.

Thank you for replying. Yes you are probably right- I'm overthinking it. I really do feel fine so it's not as though I am being ignored. I'm popping to see my midwife this week so will just double check with her that she thinks I'm doing ok. Thanks again for reassuring me!

Are you sure you arent supposed to make your own appointments or anything?

Yes make my own appointments but have only been asked to make them with the community midwife every 3 weeks or so. I know this is standard for all pregnancies as it's in the green maternity notes. I haven't been asked by the consultant to make appointments beyond my 12 & 20 week scans and the blood tests. That's why I was querying the high risk thing as figured that they would need to see me more. I could book an appointment just to go in and talk to someone but don't want to waste anyone's time!
