This is so embarrassing but I'm 35 weeks and two days ago I had a huge poop!! It was more ball shaped than log shaped and the pain when it came out was unreal!! I bled heavy from my bum it was in the toilet all over the toilet floor all over the toilet roll and it was very painful afterwards. Later that day I noticed a purple balloon if you like on my anus! I have been putting bepanthem on and taking regular paracetamol to keep the pain at bay. I have not pooped since two days ago and I seriously am dreading going when the time comes but thankfully I don't need too yet. But here's the bad part.... the pain wakes me up at night. It hurts to walk. And it keeps bleeding!!! So today I boiught anusol and have been putting that on today but it's not helping with the pain and I'm worried as I have been taking paracetamol every 4-6hours since Monday evening and now it's Wednesday afternoon and I worry if this could effect my baby in anyway but the pain is bad I need to take something.

Is this normal ? Are they supposed to bleed even when you haven't pooped ? When will the pain go away!

Hey, just replied to someone else with similar issue, just copied my reply.
I know how it feels:( it happens rarely nowadays, but I found a Oak Bark extremely helpful. It's very cheap and it works for piles. I also found they get worse with bad diet, too much salty things in my case. Took me a while to figure it out, but it makes sense now. So please try and get hold of oak bark, put a good few table spoons of it to about 400ml of water and boil it on low for about 10 min. Wait until it cools down a tiny bit, pour it into a larger bowl and let you bum rest on it so it gets all the vapour steam in... sit on it till it's not hot anymore and it's not producing any steam... do it as often as you need.

I have bought some online as I would have no idea where to buy it. It should come in a couple of days so I'm keeping up with my cream but it's still bleeding 😕 Every time I wipe after peeing there is pink but it's not from my front it's just making it's way there.

You can freeze ice pops (you know the long thin ones) and wrap them in a flannel and apply.

Sit on a donut or breastfeeding cushion if you have one or can get one to relieve the pressure on them.

It will bleed with the wiping. Get some moist toilet wipes.

Paracetamol won't hurt the baby as long as you keep in the recommended dosage.

If it doesnt get any better go to the gp.

just to add here ... you can use laxatives... for next time...
as in pregnancy if you dont go for long and be constipated then stool hardens .. and it will be trouble for your bleeding bum when you have to go to toilet.
stay hydrated and eat food with fibre Flowers

Don't just put up with it - get thee to the GP. The prescription suppositories are way more effective than anusol etc.

It's very hard so no way it would go back in. The pain is easing now and I only took paracetamol before bed yesterday. Thankfully I still haven't pooped since it happened but it's Friday and it happened on Monday so that's a long time to not poop but I'm glad I haven't as I'm very scared about the pain when I do go
