Hi all! I still have a week to go but feel like she is way too comfy in there and no signs of labour at all just yet! Did anyone else have any signs before they went into labour, before their waters went / contractions?

Been eating lots of pineapple but it's not working and tastes horrid! Shame that eating chocolate doesn't bring on labour..! X

With my first baby I was cleaning like crazy for days!!! Two nights before I could not get comfortable in bed at all!! I had no pains but I just could not get comfortable. The next day everyone said wow your belly has dropped!!! Hmm so then that day I felt sick allllllll day I couldn't eat a thing. I went to bed and woke up 5am with my mucus plug coming out and a ache in my back!! I was in early labour!!

With my second I woke up that morning full of beans I bonced out of bed which was very unusual as I normally crawled out. I had BH all day that day in a regular pattern then that night when I was sitting quietly they suddenly became very close and very painful! I was 7cm on arrival at hospital

I had a complete meltdown to my midwife in the afternoon about how I was DONE. I wanted her out safe and I couldn't cope with the thought of doing another X days pregnant (I was 39+4 that day). Hind waters went that night, baby born 36 hours later (only about 10 hours of actual labour once contractions started).

Gave birth to ds1 at 39 weeks exactly. Very few symptoms other than BH for a couple of weeks before and a feeling of baby 'moving south' and engaging. It became a lot more difficult to walk. Started getting pains late on a Friday night which continued throughout the Saturday. They got more intense Sunday morning and I finally had a show. Went into hospital 3.30pm Sunday, arrived 6cm, and they had to help break my waters as it wasn't happening on its own! Ds born at 7.21.

I had no symptoms at all. Was expecting a show and to feel baby lower down but didn't at all. Baby arrived on due date, first sign was the first contraction at 10:30pm the night before.

Thanks Aliveinwanderland that's made me feel a bit better that there doesn't always have to be early signs! Still been trying to do lots to get the baby moving. Has anyone got any tips? X

I had sex 2 hours before my contractions started! Not sure if it helped but worth a try!

No tips but in the same boat as you OP! 39 today. Saw midwife who says I'm fully engaged but that it could still be weeks yet ! Had a terrible nights sleep as I could feel lots of pressure down below but I think that's just the position of the baby rather than any early labour sign. Despairing at the thought of another 2 + weeks of this!

Absolutely no signs at all, baby born at 39 weeks exactly. I was taken completely by surprise!
