What do you miss about being pregnant?

Nobody misses the aching and the sickness nor the inability to sleep but is there anything you actually miss about being pregnant or that is your favourite bit? Did you ever create the best craving combo food and still eat it to this day?

The pregnancy hair! Lustrous glossy thick hair! All shed when babies around 4months for me though

Not having to care about how big my belly looked! No more sucking it in Halloween Grin also the feeling of never being alone, knowing that your little baby is growing and thriving inside you.

I will miss the hair that never, ever gets greasy.

I used to have to wash it every single day. I now leave it 3 days, and could probably leave it longer as it's still not starting to get greasy looking at that stage.

The lovely hair and skin and nails. How everyone takes care of you, I didn't find it patronising, I thought it was kind. The anticipation.

That feeling of a baby inside you. The kicks and flutters and punches. Even the painful ones. Wondering what sort of person is growing. What they will be like.

The excuse to sit down!

I felt invincible when I was pregnant, partly because I felt so physically awful that my capacity for taking shit from anyone was nil. And then all my self confidence went once I'd had the baby and has taken a while to build back up.

Having a little friend that went everywhere you went- it's kind of beautiful

I'm so Envy at everyone with their beautiful hair and skin. I currently look like my thirteen year old self with spots and super greasy hair, but now I have the startings of wrinkles and a fine smattering of grey hair to go with it. It's been like this my last two pregnancies, too.

Before becoming pregnant with this one I was most definitely done with pregnancy and having anymore Halloween HmmHalloween Grin, and the one thing I missed more than anything else was feeling the movements inside me. I had an anterior placenta both times so I couldn't feel them move as much as I would have otherwise and it was always wonderful when I did. Also that never alone feeling.

I'm hoping that lasts forever!

Oh, the movements, the little nudges from your little baby and wondering what they'll look like. The anticipation of it all really.

My DS2 arrived at 37+4 via a totally unexpected EMCS that happened less than 3 hours after I went into hospital for a check up. I felt weirdly robbed of being pregnant and kept forgetting, even though I knew factually that DS2 was here. I really missed the bump!

Feeling the baby kick and when he had hiccups!
The friendly looks you get by the majority of women, just because you're pregnant.
Always being given the last slice of cake at work, because, baby.
Being able to wear whatever I wanted to.
Using pregnancy to get out of things like hoovering and putting the bed sheets on the bed.

My leg hair barely grew - virtually no shaving!
The eating. Grin
I was lucky all 3 times to just have a lovely round bump, no excess weight elsewhere - loved how it looked in bump-hugging clothes!

Being able to fold the washing on my bump. I miss it every time I'm getting things in from the line!

Nothing.

Ooh yes, the non-growing leg hair.
I don't miss my twin pregnancy one little bit (apart from the sheer awesomeness of knowing there were 2 babies growing in there).
From my singleton pregnancy I miss that zen feeling that was probably hormonal. I too felt invincible.

Nothing! Not to say I didn't enjoy my pregnancies but there is nothing that makes me long to experience it again.

Definitely hiccups. DS2 had hiccups constantly from about 21wks on. He still has them alarmingly frequently at the age of 10. I miss that little flip in my belly even now :-(

The kicks, the little hello from inside!
And the excitement of wondering who your little person is :)

I loved the 4-8 month stage, before and after were hideous!

I loved cuddling my bump, watching the baby move around.

My leg hair barely grew - virtually no shaving!

I have this too! Wasn't sure if it was really a 'thing', but I have definitely noticed it growing much, much softer/slower.

I'd like to keep that too, please.

I loved being pregnant. I had lovely hair and skin too, and only a bump at the front. I was pregnant both times over the winter so just wore baggy jumpers and leggings. I did have problems, and if I got pregnant again, I think my kidneys would pack up because they went haywire for a reason no one could explain, but mentally I felt like superwoman!

Wtf? My leg hair still grew, my hair wasn't particularily glossy. I feel cheated! I loved the 9 months period free though.

I miss the kicks.

I'll miss the kicks...although not the 3.00am ones! My skin has improved and leg hair grows v.slowly.

Other than that not much to be honest. It's been a slog.

Feeling special. Getting lovely comments from strangers, like the lady who said, "what a gorgeous bump!"
Taking your little baby everywhere, always feeling like you have company .

I don't miss the hiccups though. DS 2 had them every single day from about 28 weeks onwards and they were really irritating.

APocketfulOfStars · 30/10/2016 18:24

The kicks, but not the hiccups!

The feeling of complete calm I felt.

Yes, the never greasy hair!

Being two.
