Has anyone's baby measured small at 28 weeks?

I had a growth scan at 28 weeks because my baby has sever heart defects. But they said they expect babies with these heart defects to do well in the womb and be born on time..... so my scan should have shown around 2lbs 6-8oz but instead he was 1lb 11oz. He's been marked around 25th centile and we have another scan in a few weeks. Of course I'm terrified as it is about having my baby but now this on top has me very worried. I was told placenta problems can cause a small baby but this becomes apparent after 34 weeks.... so I'm worried what's going on ! I did have an amnio done at 21 weeks and it all came back clear so I don't think my baby has a chromosome abnormality

My fundal height measurements were small and dropping percentiles at my 28, 30 and 32 week appointments, so was sent for a growth scan at 33 weeks. They thought that either my placenta wasn't functioning properly, or that I might have low levels of amniotic fluid. He measured small, but all his measurements were in proportion and the fluid level was normal - he measured just under 4lbs at 33+3. He was born last week at 37+4 weighing 6lb 9oz. He is a teeny weeny little thing, wearing prem nappies and clothes, but he's fine - and the midwife even commented on what a healthy looking placenta I had after it was delivered Hmm

That's great everything was fine for you and your little one. I'm not even sure how accurate these growth scans are. I had one with my last baby at 37 weeks and they said 6lbs and he was born exactly 1 week later at 7lb 9oz. But perhaps it's harder to get a measurement when they are so squashed up

I was told that can be 20% "out" either way with the weight estimates. The only part that a bit more accurate is the head and abdomen circumference and femur length measurements.

Yep I'm measuring on the 10th percentile on funds height and scans. No reason just seem to be cooking a small one. I'm nearly 36 weeks and was scanned at 30 and 32 weeks. Baby showed consistent growth it's just small. I have no more scans boomed and everything seems fine.
