Bleeding at 18 weeks

Hi, I'm 18 + 5 and woke up yesterday to bright red blood! I had a cerclage 2weeks ago so went straight to hospital, was kept in all day even though bleeding tapered off after 2 hours. Baby's heartbeat checked regularly and was fine so get discharged last night.

This morning wake up again to the same thing.
Checked over by the hospital and get sent home again after again hearing baby's heartbeat and a check on my stitches.
Only have slight period pains intermittently and still light bleeding no tenderness. They said they don't know where it's coming from and there isn't much they can do so just to rest.
Has anyone else had this? Worried sick at moment x

No I haven't, however I have several friends who carried full term who suffered with intermittent bleeding throughout pregnancy. Look after yourself and try not to do too much Flowers

Hi OP. I bled from 12 to 19 weeks with no explanation. It was bright red and in the mornings (sorry for tmi) it would come out in a gush where it had pooled overnight and turn the toilet red. I had scans, my cervix measured and saw countless midwifes and doctors and no one could give me any reason for it. I'm now 37 weeks and since 20 weeks have had no problems and bubs is all fine and healthy. It was really scary and made the beginning of my pregnancy very fraught but it passed and it seemed to mean nothing. I hope the same is true for you and that this offers a bit of reassurance that it can all be ok.

Oh you poor thing. It's terrifying, isn't it? I had lots of bleeding on and off throughout and it was eventually put down to cervical ectropion. Harmless but bloody scary seeing lots of blood. I did end up having DS 10 weeks early but it was completely unrelated. Try to take things super easy.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I actually feel calmer after reading your replies. I naively expected plain sailing after 12 weeks so it was a massive shock. Hopefully baby's here to stay x
