Can someone please invent a smell filter for pregnant ladies?!

I'm so sensitive to smells in this pregnancy. Last night I couldn't get to sleep because a lingering cooking smell was keeping me awake!

Why can't someone invent a nose filter so no bad smells get through?! Envy

Couldn't agree more.

I have Hyperemesis so any smell can have me gagging in seconds. I cannot kiss my DH because all I can smell is his shower gel, deodrant or hair product. Literally cannot go near him.

I can smell myself terribly too! My skin has a really peculiar (unpleasant) odour to it.

One of the real downers of first trimester!!

Oh god this would be brilliant. My aunt asked my mum if I'm pg when she saw her yesterday because apparently when I popped round there on Saturday I walked in to her kitchen and gagged and covered my nose and mouth with my sleeve 😂. I can not remember doing this but it sounds about right, made me wonder if anyone is guessing yet :/. I'm only 7 weeks!

Even my lovely snuggly little 2 year old reeks at the moment! He's had a slight cold so has that "poorly" smell, urgh it's like something died. Horrible.

Bathroom smells of toothpaste and some other unidentifiable unpleasant note. Bedroom smells really un-fresh but when I was the sheets even the clean smell is kind of weird and cloying. Living room has a lingering smell of cooking smells and nappies that were changed hours ago. Kitchen smells of general food pong. Sigh!

😂 smells like something died, this made me actually lol. I'm emptying my kitchen bin every day and can still smell it from the next room.

Our massive Asda used to do me in when I was pregnant. The cooked chickens and the cafe and the fish counter and the sweet sickly smell of the bakery. Every aisle had a different new aroma which would turn my stomach.

Same here! I am 15 weeks and I'm feeling very sorry for myself. Toothpaste, conditioner, hair serum, you name it! Cooking hot smells are awful. I travel in my job so lots of sandwich bags with me. Smoking smells are the WORST. I worry about restaurants before we go in case I don't like the smells. My sister in law cooked us a lovely meal a few weeks ago and I was in hell!

Someone on here advised me to have something nice smelling (pregnancy safe essential oil) on a hankie. I didn't get around to doing this but I see the logic in it! Even my poor cat is all confused as my husband is now feeding her and she doesn't always eat it until I touch it! The cat biscuits are fine but the wet food....my goodness!!
